The International Organisation for Biological Control (IOBC) may financially support participation of young career biological control scientist (< 35 years) who are paying member of one of the Regional Sections of IOBC, so they can take part in a training course. IOBC-Global is offering travel and accommodation grants for a limited number of early career biological control researchers that are member of an IOBC Regional Section to attend a biological control training course.
Course organisers should inform IOBC-Global by the 30th of November of each calendar year that they are planning to run a course in the next calendar year. The Executive Committee of IOBC-Global and one or more external reviewers will consider course proposals and notify organisers by the 15th of February of the next year whether their proposed course will receive funding. The lead course organiser is required to be a member of IOBC to qualify for the funding.

An example of a recent training course is presented in Global Newsletter 111 and concerns a biocontrol course given in Ecuador in November 2021.
